Pictures
The logo, the icons and the picture on the home page (a lighthouse shaped like a chess rook above a sea of chess squares) were generated with artificial intelligence. They are artistic depictions.
Chess pieces
The pieces on the chessboards are the “cburnett” set by Colin M. L. Burnett, as also used on lichess. They are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, and are used unchanged.
Licence text: GPL-2.0.txt
Game data
The games come from the data source “Chess Database” by Ana Schaigorodsky (2016), published on Figshare under the licence Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), and from The Week in Chess (TWIC). The data were modified for our own use: the games of 12 players were selected; the numbers of the pawn structures are counted from them, each game once.
Texts of the plans
The texts on the plans and pawn structures were written with the help of artificial intelligence. They may contain mistakes.
Chess engine
The chess engine Stockfish in the version stockfish.js 19 (Stockfish 19 lite, WebAssembly) is delivered with the website. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3, and is delivered unchanged.
